Okay so I was literally mid-sip of my matcha latte when this news dropped and I CHOKED. Microsoft. MICROSOFT. The company with like, all the money and all the engineers and all the shepherds in expensive fleece vests, got their X account absolutely YOINKED by some coyote running a crypto pump-and-dump. No cap.

The wolves basically waltzed into Microsoft's verified X account and started shilling some random crypto token to the entire flock like it was a totally normal Thursday. It's giving fake grain energy. It's giving "free candy van" energy. The audacity is actually sending me.

And HERE is where I need to vent for a second because the VIBES of this attack are so unbelievably cringe. Like, you have access to one of the most recognizable tech accounts on the planet and you use it to run a pump-and-dump? That's it? That's the play?? • Audit who has access to your brand accounts. If your intern from 2019 still has the login, that's a YOU problem.
• Train the flock to spot fake grain. If a verified account is suddenly pushing crypto out of nowhere, that's a red flag, a red flag farm, a whole red flag ecosystem.
• Monitor your accounts for weird posts. Automated alerts exist. Use them. Please.
